The first 28 days is a critical time period when the pool finish is most susceptible to staining, scaling, and discoloration. • Your pool will consume a lot of acid during the first 6-12 months as the plaster finish continues to cure. It is important to test your pH biweekly and do not let it climb above 7.8.
• Be sure to continue to brush the pool at least twice weekly during the first 30 days, and then weekly after that.
• Never add more than 2 lbs of Alkalinity per 10,000 gallons of pool water in 24 hrs.

Your local pool store will be able to test the pool water and make recommendations. It is important to let the pool store know they are dealing with a new surface. use a combo brush to brush the pool at least twice a week.
